Details:
On or about Friday, December 18th, 2020, around 12:15 in the afternoon, an accident between a tanker truck and a tractor-trailer sent two truck drivers to the hospital. Authorities said the accident happened along Route 30 just outside Wooster in East Union Township, Ohio.
State Troopers said two as-of-yet unidentified men were hurt when a tanker truck allegedly veered from westbound lanes and struck an eastbound tractor-trailer. After he collision with the tanker truck, the tractor-trailer flipped. The driver of the tanker truck was taken to the hospital with minor injuries, while the driver of the tanker truck was cut from the cab and rushed to the hospital with serious injuries.
Google Maps shows Route 30 is four lanes in the area, with a wide, grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic. Wooster is located roughly 34 miles southeast of Akron.
Ohio State Highway Patrol is still investigating.
