Details:
On or about Tuesday, October 9th, 2020, around 5:30 in the afternoon, an accident between a tanker truck and a tractor-trailer sent two people to the hospital. Troopers said the accident happened along Alternate Route 7 near the intersection with Boght Road in Albany, New York.
Police said two as-of-yet unidentified men were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly rear-ended a tanker truck in the eastbound lanes. Both truck drivers were taken by EMS to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
Officials said there was another three-car accident a short time after the initial crash.
Looking at the area on Google Streetview, Alternate Route 7 is four lanes wide, with a grassy median dividing east and westbound traffic. The scene of the accident is situated in the far north portion of Albany.
New York State Police are assisting in the investigation.
