Details:
On or about Tuesday, March 23rd, 2021, around 1:35 in the afternoon, an accident between three tractor-trailers sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said the accident happened along Chicago Street near the intersection with Patterson Road in Joliet, Illinois.
Police said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when an 18-wheeler allegedly struck two other tractor-trailers when it swerved to avoid another collision. Paramedics transported two truck drivers to the hospital with unknown injuries after the accident. Officials did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary report.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Patterson Road and Chicago Street is about 46 miles southwest of downtown Chicago.
Officials are still investigating the accident.
