Details:
On or about Wednesday, April 28th, 2021, an accident between a tractor-trailer and an 18-wheeler sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported on the northbound side of Highway 287 just outside Stratford in Sherman County, Texas.
Texas DPS officials said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when an 18-wheeler allegedly veered off the side of the roadway and struck a tractor-trailer that was parked on the shoulder. Both trucks burst into flames following the initial collision. Emergency responders transported both truck drivers to the hospital with unknown injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about six miles south of Stratford, which is about 80 miles north of Amarillo.
Texas DPS and local police assisted at the scene of the accident.
