Details:
On or about Saturday, March 27th, 2021, around 3:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and a disabled vehicle sent two people to the hospital. Officials from the ISP said the accident happened along the eastbound side of Interstate 72 just outside Bluffs in Scott County, Illinois.
Investigators said Heather Alexander and Tina Holey were injured when Holey’s tractor-trailer allegedly struck Alexander’s disabled Chevrolet Malibu in the lane of traffic. Emergency responders transported Holey and Alexander to area hospitals with unknown injuries after the incident.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance outside Bluffs, which is roughly 95 miles southwest of Peoria.
Illinois State Police and local law enforcement are investigating.
