On or about Wednesday, September 1st, 2021, around 4:00 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent two people to the hospital. Deputies from the Knox County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 75 in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Investigators from the area said two as-of-yet unidentified people were injured when a tractor-trailer allegedly lost control and rolled in the median of I-75 near the 71 mile marker. Emergency responders transported two people to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident. Police did not mention any other vehicles in their preliminary statement on the incident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 75 runs north and south through Knoxville.
Police are still investigating.
