Details:
On or about Monday, June 7th, 2021, around 3:30 in the morning, a single-vehicle tractor-trailer accident sent two people to the hospital. Police said the accident was reported along Interstate 95 in Carmel, Maine.
Troopers from the Maine State Police said 61-year-old Donald Leblanc and 30-year-old Peter Nickerson were injured when the tractor-trailer they were in allegedly skidded off the side of Interstate 95 and rolled in a grassy patch a short distance off the pavement. Leblanc and Nickerson were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 95 runs through the southern edge of Carmel, which is about 16 miles west of Bangor.
Authorities hope to release the findings of their investigation at a later date.
