On or about Tuesday, December 1st, 2020, around 7:00 in the evening, a head-on collision between two tractor-trailers injured both drivers. Police said the accident happened along Beaumont Highway near Miller Road in Sheldon, Texas.
Deputies from the Sheriff’s Office said two truck drivers were hurt when the tractor-trailers they were driving allegedly collided head-on. One of the trucks veered off the road and crashed into a convenience store nearby. Both drivers were treated for unspecified injuries following the incident. Nobody in the store was hurt.
According to Google Maps, Beaumont Highway runs north and south with four lanes, with businesses and patchy woods flanking either side of the pavement. Sheldon is located about 18 miles northeast of downtown Houston.
Texas DPS is assisting in the investigation.
