On or about Saturday, July 31st, 2021, around 1:00 in the afternoon, an accident between a heavy-duty pickup truck and a car sent two people to the hospital. Troopers from the Department of Public Safety said the accident was reported along Highway 79 just outside Franklin in Robertson County, Texas.
Deputies from the Robertson County Sheriff’s Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were injured when a heavy-duty pickup truck and a car collided under unspecified circumstances along Highway 79. Emergency responders transported two people from the scene to St. Joseph Hospital with injuries of an unknown nature or severity stemming from the accident.
According to Google Maps, Highway 79 cuts east and west through Robertson County, with the scene of the accident a short distance outside Franklin, about 31 miles north of Bryan/College Station.
Police are still investigating.
