Details:
On or about Monday, January 17th, 2022, around 7:00 in the evening, an accident with a suspected drunk driver left two people dead and sent four others to the hospital. Representatives from the Bexar County Sheriff’s Office said the was reported at or near the intersection of Northwest Loop 410 and Fredericksburg Road in San Antonio, Texas.
Investigators said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed and four others were hurt when a passenger vehicle allegedly struck another car, pushing the car off the side of the roadway where it struck a pedestrian a short distance off the pavement. Paramedics pronounced the pedestrian and the driver of the car that was hit dead of their injuries a short time after the accident.
According to Google Maps, the intersection of Northwest Loop 410 and Fredericksburg Road is on the northwest side of San Antonio.
Officials have stated they believe alcohol may have been a factor in the collision.
