Details:
On or about Thursday, March 4th, 2021, around 7:43 in the morning, an accident between a garbage truck and a car left two people dead and sent two others to the hospital. Representatives from the MSP said the accident happened at the intersection of Highway 278 and F.D. Buddy East Parkway in Oxford, Mississippi.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Office said two people in a Volkswagen Jetta were killed when it was involved in a collision with a dump truck. Two other individuals were taken to the hospital with unspecified injuries. Officials did not speculate on the sequence of events that may have led to the accident.
According to Google Maps, Oxford is located roughly 85 miles south of Memphis, Tennessee, just a short distance from the state line.
