Details:
On or about Saturday, January 8th, 2022, around 4:45 in the morning, an accident between a wrong-way driver and a private ambulance left two people dead and two people injured. Deputies from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office said the accident was reported along the Westpark Tollway near Fondren Road in Houston, Texas.
Officers from the Houston Police Department said two as-of-yet unidentified individuals were killed and two others were injured when an alleged wrong-way driver struck a private ambulance head-on. Emergency responders pronounced two people from each vehicle dead, while two others were transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the exchange of the Westpark Tollway and Fondren Road is on the west side of Houston.
Police are still trying to determine all the factors that may have contributed to the accident.
