Details:
On or about Monday, March 15th, 2021, around 9:20 in the morning, an accident between a car and a tractor-trailer left two people dead. Investigators from the FHP said the accident happened along Florida’s Turnpike near Atlantic Avenue in Delray Beach, Florida.
Deputies from the County Sheriff’s Department said two as-of-yet unidentified people died when the car they were in allegedly slammed into the back of a disabled tractor-trailer, and that both vehicles burst into flames following the crash. The driver and passenger in the car both died of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
Florida’s Turnpike runs north and south through the center of Delray Beach, which is situated between Boca Raton and West Palm Beach, according to Google Maps.
Florida Highway Patrol is investigating the accident.
