Details:
On or about Wednesday, November 11th, 2020, around 1:19 in the morning, an accident involving two tractor-trailers left two people dead. Georgia State Highway Patrol said the accident happened in the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Butts County, Georgia.
Officials from the area said a tractor-trailer allegedly jackknifed following a collision with another 18-wheeler. After the initial collision, one of the trucks drove off the road, and the other rolled. Paramedics pronounced two victims dead of their injuries at the scene of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 75 cuts north and south through the southwest corner of Butts County, which is located about 52 miles southwest of Atlanta.
State and local law enforcement agencies are investigating.
