Details:
On or about Thursday, July 22nd, 2021, around 8:30 in the morning, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two cars left two people dead. Officials from the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Department said the accident was reported along the southbound lanes of Interstate 95 (Florida’s Turnpike) in Boynton Beach, Florida.
Officers said two as-of-yet unidentified people were killed when a tractor-trailer allegedly slammed into the back of several cars in stopped or slowed traffic before it crashed into a waterway below. One person in one of the vehicles was pronounced dead after the crash. Another individual was also killed, but authorities did not specify which vehicle they were in at the time of the accident.
According to Google Maps, Interstate 95 runs north and south through the center of Boynton Beach, which is located about 59 miles north of downtown Miami.
Police are still investigating the accident.
