Details:
On or about Saturday, November 13th, 2021, around 3:40 in the morning, an accident between two tractor-trailers sent two individuals to the hospital. Troopers from the OHP said the accident was reported along the southbound side of Interstate 35 just outside Marietta in Love County, Oklahoma.
Investigators from the area said 71-year-old Jerry L. Fuller and 43-year-old Wayman Patterson Jr. were injured when Fuller’s tractor-trailer allegedly struck the back of Patterson’s 18-wheeler in the southbound lanes of I-35. Paramedics airlifted Fuller to a hospital in Denton, Texas, while Patterson was taken to nearby Mercy Hospital with unspecified injuries.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is about 9 miles north of Marietta, which is about 114 miles south of downtown Oklahoma City.
Police are still investigating the collision.
