Details:
On or about Monday, December 6th, 2021, around 6:18 in the evening, an accident between a passenger vehicle, a pedestrian, and a tractor-trailer claimed the life of a 61-year-old Walnut Ridge man. Troopers from the ASP said the accident was reported along Highway 63 just outside Sedgwick in Lawrence County, Arkansas.
Authorities said 61-year-old Wesley Adams was killed when he was allegedly pinned against a tractor-trailer that was attempting a U-turn across Highway 63 when a passenger vehicle struck Adams and the tractor-trailer. Emergency responders pronounced Adams dead after the accident, but it is not currently clear if he died at the scene or after he was rushed to a nearby hospital.
Law enforcement officials identified the driver of the passenger vehicle as 78-year-old Wanda Thornton, who was taken to St. Bernard’s Hospital with injuries of an unspecified nature or severity.
According to Google Maps, the scene of the accident is a short distance south of Sedgwick, which is about 128 miles northeast of downtown Little Rock.
