Details:
On or about Tuesday, November 3rd, 2020, around 2:55 in the afternoon, an accident between a tractor-trailer and two pickup trucks left a 65-year-old man dead. Texas DPS Troopers said the accident happened in the southbound lanes of Highway 69 in Wood County, Texas.
Police said 65-year-old Winfred Wayne Going was killed when the GMC 2500 pickup he was driving allegedly struck the back of an 18-wheeler driven by Kerry Durrell Taylor. Following the initial collision, the 18-wheeler struck a Ford F-150 driven by Brian Edward Harris.
Going was pronounced dead of his injuries at the scene of the crash. Neither Harris or Taylor reported injuries after the incident.
Looking at Highway 69 near Alba shows a two-lane roadway that runs southeast/northwest through the heart of town. Alba is located about 83 miles east of Dallas.
Authorities hope to release more information at a later date.
