On or about Tuesday, November 30th, 2021, around 9:30 in the morning, an accident between an SUV and a tractor-trailer sent a woman and child to the hospital. Officials from the MSP said the accident was reported along Colling Road near the intersection with Fairgrove Road in Tuscola County, Michigan.
Authorities from the area said an as-of-yet unidentified woman and child were injured when the SUV they were in was allegedly crushed by a tractor-trailer that lost control and pinned the SUV. Emergency responders transported the woman driving the SUV and her young passenger to a nearby hospital with unspecified injuries after the accident.
According to Google Maps, Tuscola County is about 99 miles north of downtown Detroit.
Officials believe freezing fog and icy roads may have played a role in the accident.
